The uterus expands to accommodate bub during pregnancy. After delivery, your organs take time to recover, and your abdomen becomes a "deflated bag". The loose skin & muscles need compression to stabilise your abdomen, help your organs back to the right position and further assist in uterus recovery.
Repairing abdominal separation after birth is the key, appropriate core exercise and a postnatal belly band will be essential for recovery. This will not only help with your “mummy tummy”, but get your core strength back, which is important to prevent permanent damage to your lower back & spine.
FOR C-SECTION RECOVERY
Uterus recovery: Stabilises the uterus to avoid discomfort when moving and accelerate uterus recovery.
Reduce pain: Stabilises the surgical wound to avoid pulling on the wound when moving around to assist with healing.
Coughing after surgery: Anesthesia during c-section can cause a build up of mucus in the airways. Coughing while wearing the belly band can reduce pain caused by vibration.
Relief back pain: Distributes weight from the spine and improves posture to reduce back pain.
Get back in shape: Assist with abdominal separation and tightening of the belly muscles and skin
IMPORTANT! Position the belly band around your pelvis and make sure to well cover your wound, to protect + stabalise
